How are you? Have you survived Halloween and the time change? We are still trying to get used to the dark afternoon hours and getting the sugar level back to normal… I always try to keep the kids busy in the afternoon and this month after some time outside we’ve started working on our family project: The Thankful Tree (inspired by episode 33 of the Sorta Awesome podcast)! Each night we all come up with something that we are thankful for, write it down on a paper leaf, and hang it on our tree branches (I’ll post a picture later, but if you are interested on how it can look like, just head over to Pinterest!). It’s so much fun to hear what my kids come up with: the color yellow, our fridge, sports, chocolate – tbc. And I’m also enjoying to take the time and reflect on my day…
1 – Have you ever told other parents that they are awesome? I think I haven’t but that is going to change after reading this.
2 – Today I downloaded this app and I can’t wait to start not only creating (which I do anyway), but also sharing my own lists. My first list is going to be a bucket list of the „99 Things I want to do before I move back to Germany“, e.g. going to a college football game which might or might not happen this weekend.
3 – Are you a Stayer, a Goer, or a Newbie – I’ve been all three and this is exactly what I love and hate about expat life (via Relolanding).
4 – #onedayHH is next week, on November 10th! It’s an Instagram event hosted by Hollywood Housewife and it’s all about documenting and sharing your day. I participated last year and really enjoyed peeking into other people’s life while creating a memory of an ordinary day of my life at the same time. I will definitely participate again this year – are you going to join me? Please tag me if you do!
5 – Speaking of Instagram: I’m really excited about the e-course „Photography and Styling Bootcamp“ which starts next week. Holly Becker of decor8, the founder of Blogging your Way, is joined by no other than Traveling Mama / House of Valentina blogger Tina Fussell and her husband Jack who I got to meet in person when they took our family pictures last year! I can’t wait for this class to start, to be inspired, be part of the creative BYW-community, and improve my photography skills.
Have a great weekend, y’all!
I love every one of your files for the weekend! Will download the app, start a list. And yes I’m a Goer and it sucks. Might join you for the e-course on photography! Ha.
Oh it would be so much fun if you took the e-course, too, Rina! It’s so worth it, I promise!
