The weekend is almost here which means: soccer season is about to start for my kids postponed because of rain and cold! And here is a new set of links from around the web! Hope you enjoy reading, watching and listening.
1 – This blog post reflects the thoughts of an expat spouse. She lives in Ghana which is of course a totally different setting. But there are still a lot of similarities to the daily life of an expat spouse in the US…
„And across the oceans various well-meaning friends and family have asked us all the same question: What do you do all day?
I’ll tell you what we do.
We keep the show on the road.“
2 – If you are the expat spouse, I would recommend showing this (German) article to your working expat partner. Nothing really new, but worth reading as a reminder!
3 – Gute Laune Mucke and feel good music by Adam and Taylor. My kids don’t stop asking for more sugar, please! And I’m wondering: are Adam and Taylor as big of a deal in Germany / Europe as they are here in the United States?
4 – American habits I lost when I moved to Germany – This made me smile, especially after we had a snow day the other day and the kids and I were outside with all the neighbors. Everybody chit chatted for hours and hours. And I didn’t know what to say anymore after having talked about the weather for 5 minutes. A skill I haven’t mastered yet. Will I ever?
5 – Yeah, yeah, yeah! I’m really excited about this DIY-book coming out in April. Joy is a long-time pro-blogger and I love and admire her work and her blog! Check it out!
Wishing you a wonderful weekend and see you back here next week!
