The Weekend Files #19

19. Juni 2015

It’s Friday. Once again! Time is flying by quickly these days. We had a lot going on last week including a girls‘ trip to Atlanta (so much fun that I had to send my credit card on a loooong vacation), a Chattanooga Lookouts baseball game (including popcorn and peanuts) and many hours at the pool. It’s been really hot – 34 C / 95 F – and it looks like we are going to hit the 100 F mark next week. It’s not even July yet… Stay cool this weekend!

the weekend files

1 – Still on my list for my next trip to Atlanta: a new pair of glasses and jeans. Have to hope for my credit card to have a quick recovery.

2 – The official start of summer is this Sunday. I really love this photo idea of documenting the upcoming weeks and months. But since my kids don’t know how to write yet, I might turn this into a challenge/project on Instagram (and a photo book?)! Who wants to join me?

3 – I guess this describes one of the reasons why I started my blog in the first place. If preventing is not possible, than at least raising awareness:

Third, much re-entry training is offered too late, in the post-repatriation phase of the assignment, and focuses on debriefing the re-entry transition. Such assistance is insufficient to help repatriates in managing repatriation as it focuses on managing the existing problems, as opposed to preventing them.

4 – If you plan on visiting Atlanta any time soon, put this shop on your must-see-list. A great concept and so many amazing artists and products! Really hoping they are going to expand to Chattanooga soon…

5 – Considering a trip to Disney World? Here you can find great inspiration and useful tips! And some time in the future, I’ll also write a post on our trip to the most magic place on earth (It really is!). Let me know if this is something you would be interested in.

Have a great weekend, y’all!
