Do you remember that I talked about the flowers and trees in our garden a couple of weeks ago? Well, I guess I have to admit that I was WRONG! Which means: my husband was right…
See for yourself, enjoy The Weekend Files and have a relaxing weekend!
1 – Parents, please read this article on free range parenting, written by a German journalist who lives in the United States. Thanks, Katharina, for the link!
2 – To me it seems there is a new trend in the blogging world: quitting! More and more really well-established bloggers close their blogs and turn their time and attention to something else (e.g. podcasts, books, consulting etc.) and/or don’t want to deal with criticism, trolls, and negativity anymore. I’m really glad that I haven’t had to deal with these negative aspects of blogging. Yet.
3 – Really sad and so moving: Sheryl Sandberg’s obituary on her husband’s sudden death last week:
If the day I walked down that aisle with Dave someone had told me that this would happen – that he would be taken from us all in just 11 years – I would still have walked down that aisle.
Sheryl Sandberg is Chief Operating Officer of Facebook and the author of Lean In. She published the tribute on her Facebook profile. Of course. (via Hollywood Housewife)
4 – I’m obsessed with this outfit (Do you think it would work for a business meeting?) and this wreath for my front door (Do people in Germany decorate their front door with a wreath?)
5 – A post about haters on the internet. And an interesting statement on the European blogging world:
It’s different world over there on the Euro-net. (I just invented that word.) I joked that it was like time travel over there, but it’s true! It’s still 2005 over there in their neck of the bloggy wood …
Is this really true? What do you think?
